The tour owner and our guide, Cheryl, was FANTASTIC! We were watching land being formed right in front of our eyes -- simply breathtaking. We absolutely recommend this hike.

Being able to get as close as possible to active lava, seeing the vibrant colors, and watching lavafalls enter the ocean was an unforgettable experience and simply majestic.
We got to see several surface flows and water entries. Scott and Cheryl was humorous and professional, telling stories and sharing facts about eruptions and how it affected the land, themselves and their neighbors. All in all a great tour.
I got as close as the temperatures would allow me to get! Got lots of photos ... Highly recommend this hiking tour group! Been there, done that AND got the t-shirt!

This hike is the REAL THING. You really get to hear it when it makes contact with the ocean, and feel its heat in a way no other tour is capable of. Best 100 bucks I've ever spent.

WOW, did we ever see the lava flow and the flow into the ocean! The hike was 2 mi out and 2 mi back but worth every step. What a great memory, and something to scratch off my bucket list!
Cheryl and Scott are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. If you are going to the Big Island, you should definitely contact them. It was one of the best things we did on our trip. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Trip really held up its end of the bargain. We dried off on a newly erupting land flow and then headed for the coast and watched molten lava falling into the ocean. Great crew too.
